just make sure the paintwork is smooth for the aerodynamics smudge ,,,,helps when riding into a head wind you could have the cams done and gas flowed head ,,,but is it all worth it ? do you need it ..
Id spend money on decent tyres, suspension and brakes first. Actually I wouldnt. Id get a bike with more power, better suspension and brakes.
Unless you're tracking it and know what you're doing I'd say it's got enough power to be honest? Live Forever or Die Trying
What about some carbon race wheels? Oz wheels perhaps. Although I would spend it on advance training. On the road or on the track.
Sorry, just to be clear, I'm not having a dig there... Just that in my view if you want to keep it as a reliable road bike there are three options really... 1. Spend a fortune and get an extra few hp out of it without altering it's reliability... But it'll cost time and money for something that's not going to make it THAT much more fun to own/ride in the scheme of things 2. Spend MORE time and money and push the engine to get as much power as you can afford but then have lower servicing intervals / risk reliability 3. Keep it as it is, enjoy riding it and either keep the cash or spend it on more fuel? For the extra performance you'd get I'd personally not say it's worth it... But each to their own I guess Live Forever or Die Trying
Little things like carbon wheels ? yeah sure BST make the some of the best ones..... but dont expect much change from £3000 for a pair ...
Save your cash and instead of doing mods that will stress your engine and drivetrain, increase your insurance and reduce both the reliability and longevity of your bike, just part-ex it against a CBR900 'blade. Does everything you want out of the box
ill give you my spare bhp.ive got a ridiculous amount of power...11.3bhp in fact lol only thing I can think of that you've not listed is an oil change with some decent oil. or am I being gullible by believing the bottle when it says increased engine performance lol.
joking aside smudge,,if your looking for more power from a 600 in addition to what you have got ..and ...AND you can use that power in a controllable way, then it is time to move up . the best bikes you could poss ride with nice real world rideable powerbands GSXR 750 k4 or k5 or a CBR 900rr2 or RR3 ..obviously there are more contenders, but these bike do exactly what it says on the tin.... and would be maybe be in your price range with Part exing the 600 ....ive ridden hundreds of bikes and those two i mention are superb bikes , superb engines and have sublime handling to go with it ...you are wasting money now putting it into that 600
Copper spark plugs create a more potent spark than iridium, as iridium are made to last for a longer time. So if you want performance go for copper (but you would change them more frequently than iridium) On my cbr600f3 i have a plus3 rear sprocket and a minus2 front sprocket. I enjoy the performance. But i don't use that bike on motorways.. It gets old fast. But on normal roads including going around wales on national speed limits, its a hoot They are the smallest and largest combinations of sprocket that you can get in steel.. Alloy sprockets wear too fast for my liking.
Don't bother getting a litre for the road, it's too much. In fact, it's too much even for a track like Oulton Park. If you want more power, with decent handling, then get a GSXR 750.
