Hi guys, got a problem with my zx12r, any ideas? I think its a plug or something, when the bike is cold it runs fine, but, as soon as it warms up and on the road its missing. Thus creating massive flat spots and its running like a bag of shite!!!! any ideas?
If it was a problem with the plugs it would not run ok when it is cold. Does it miss at certain revs or is it just random?
coilpacks breaking down when they get hot? dunno what the 12r runs on but its a common failure in cars.. pull the plugs and see which is black...soon spot which cylinder its missing on... hopefully will narrow down your search....
thanks guys, seems to of cleared a little now, think it was dodgy fuel, put some optimax in it and seems better!!! will see tmrw!!!
dunno if it has one but had a similar prob with my mrs car and the COLD START VALVE was sticking an chucking miles to much fuel through..... check for black sooty plugs
