Martin inn tonight??

    the martin is just outside Burscough…lovely place the barmaids can be stunners ..

    Free food too for bikers plus best bike to arrive (landlady's choice) wins a free meal for two (very nice food there)

    i fitted this pub out a few years ago , made the bar downstairs and re furbished the function room upstairs,…..is the Landlady newish ? yep agree on the food …very nice .all the pubs in that area have nice food..i found the Farmers arms on the Bridge nice , the Slipway wasn't the best …loved the hop vine and the ship on the canal too …great places to eat and catch the barmaids..i mean views

    I actually found my way over to the Martin Inn this evening. Was about 8:30pm when I got there though and there was only 4 or 5 bikes there. Seemed like a nice enough bunch though - had a brew and a free hotdog and had a good natter with a few of the other folk there :)

    It's in Burscough. Down half a dozen unmarked unlit country lanes, in the middle of a field.

    I think he had it when i used to go in under age,
    Had my very first under age pint and many more in there.
    1979 and early 80's those were the days, not a care in the world.
    I used fly around on my first bike a FS1E.
    You fetched back some memerys there mate.:thumbsup:

    Yep similar era to me then .....we used to go around 1979 on a Friday night ...RD 400s LCs X7s etc , the ceiling of the Bar was covered in knickers !

    Then on a Sunday we always went the rams head and the fermor arms ....this was owned my J M too

    I move up to an x7 myself in 1980.
    Our pubs were the nelson and cambridge most nights and southport midnight lounge, floral hall and sand baggers at weekends.
    So Dave are you a Burscough boy i might know ya?

    me !!! a sheepshagger !!!a woolyback ? lol no….im in southport , dont know a lot of peeps from Burscough in all honesty …there is a few on here from there though

    we just used to frequent the nice pubs out there on the bikes ,still do in all honesty …like the hop vine ,nice place
