    Hello all,
just to keep everyone up to date, Paul and i spoke yesterday and he has handed over the virtual keys of NWB to myself and it is now my responsibility to support and maintain the forum going forward.
I would very much like to say thank you to Paul and all the team for getting us to where we are today, and of course to all of you - its members for the contributions and fun i have had since i have been here, and i will do my best to live up to the expectations and keep things going in the right direction.

So what does this mean for you regarding changes ? well not a great deal frankly, i have zero intention of making waves or changing the ethos of NWB. Let's be honest here the community is nothing without it's members and NWB is your forum and always will be. I see my role as one to keep it maintained, hosted and accessible.
Sure there will be the odd drama and hickup along the way, but with the support from the mods and admins we can be sure to do our best to keep things smooth.

On a personal note some of you know me already, for those that don't and unsure of my credentials or qualifications, well in short i love bikes and everything they offer. Granted i am a bit stuck in the 80's and 90's taste wise but i suspect there are few quite as enthusiastic.
As for my technical ability - well i run a few other bike sites which some will know me better from, but coming from an IT background you can be assured that the future for NWB will not be compromised in any way long term.

NWB has been a bitter sweet pill for me so far. I have met some good friends on here, had some great ride outs and shed a few tears for friends we have lost. I look forward to meeting more of you all in 2015 and getting in on some meetings and ride outs.

    Cheers all and ride safe
    :)

I dont visit to much any more, and i dont know you all that well but I learned all i needed to know about what kind of guy you are when you offered a virtual stranger a bike for his friends funeral. I believe you will do a great job mate and good luck to it.

Congrats and I just wanted to publicly echo the sentiments I've already expressed behind closed doors - I think this is an excellent decision and that Chucky's made a very wise choice. Although this has been on the cards for several months now, these things take time to put in place - so I'm also glad that this is now at last out in the open so people will stop badgering and nudging me about the issue!!

For the record, I supported Paul's application from the outset. My own offer to take it on was only in the event that Chucky wanted an exit and there was no-one else more suitable stepping up to the mark, but as I explained to Chucky from Day One, I lack the technical experience and expertise, as well as sometimes lacking the free time, to do the job properly, and the ideal candidate was always going to be someone with appropriate experience and an interest that was founded firmly in enthusiasm rather than a commercial perspective.

Chucky, I'd like to express my sincere thanks for all your work and time put into NWB, from it's creation and the early days when there was just a handful of people (back when you were still skinny) right through to your more recent and elusive Howard Hughes-esque, chunkier years :p Through this forum and the wider community that it supports I've made some long-lasting friendships, met more people than I could have imagined and seen some sights that even with therapy I doubt I'll be able to forget...

Paul also promised that to celebrate the final decision being made and his taking on of the mantle he was going to buy everyone Krispy Kreme donuts (I still want a caramel-topped one).

Well that is a big sigh of relief. Real confident of NWB's future.

As for Victor's comment, I would not stoop as low as his saggy tit.

I'm a lurker and it is great to see a site like this move and evolve through it's life. I hope to see some of you on my travels this year as I have neglected the biking fun over the last few years. I do see the Tops and logos around the place, I just need to talk to you Roughians when I see you.

I've not met either of you, nor really many people off here, but thanks to @CRM for picking up the mantle, and thanks again to @paul for all you've done with the site

I've had a couple of good ride outs, had a few laughs and always have some shite to read through when I've got a bit of time to kill

    Cheers
