i must have missed this ! no your welcome sue ive ridden round the lakes alot i will defo be posting a thread when the weathers warmer and take you up through some of lancs finest to the south lakes. it will be an early morning depart back for tea time .
thankyou ..at last a sensible person ....sue thinks you can get either get there in ten mins and see everything or it takes two days to get there and three to get back !! ride to the lakes when the warmer climes are here up through the dales to kirby lonsdale st over towards kendal drop to bowness, ride round the lake , ambleside , to hawks head come out by the swan at newby bridge. drop over to cartmel down to milnthorpe. a6 to lancaster right towards glasson dock , A6 south to home . top ride just need some warmer climes . to enjoy it more
If you do this in the next couple of monthes when I (hopeforly have my bigger bike) I can meet evreyone up by Devil's bridge,but will shortly have to depart after Kendel as you head south where I need to head west across the A590
Id be up for this also love it up there and right on our doorstep,I can see some good rides coming this summer
Hopeing to have a bigger bike by then,only a 125 like but hopeforly in may when I've finshed colloege and gone to the T.A I sould be able to get a much bigger bike,but hopeing to join evreyone in March,will be good to meet some new people.
I love the lakes. A nice mix of slow technical rides through some of the passes (Hardknot and Wrynose) and country roads with beautiful views. A great day out with nice cafes to stop at.
im sure when we post it up steve will be a busy rideout there maybe too much to take in cant see sue doing the hard knott or some of the 125ers doing the wynott ! so compromises will have to be made . im happy to sort it but it will be just my route so if anybody wants to divert deeper into the district thats fine
