Got myself a strip of red L.E.D's off flea bay for the bargain price of 1p £2 p+p

Anything that makes me more visible is money well spent but £2 quid FFS it would be a crime not to.

How did you hook them into the existing wiring - do you need resisters and transformers and things? Also what are the MOT requirements when doing stuff like this?

No need for need resisters and transformers and things, I suppose you could use them if you want but I like to keep it simple, Ive done this mod on several bikes over the past 20 years using the same method and never had any problems.

Just locate the live wire near your bulb mate, and put the other wire anywhere on the frame as an earth. As far as I know there shouldnt be any probs with M.O.T i know a few peeps off another forum who have done the mod and had no M.O.T issues. If it is an issue just remove the earth for the M.OT then replace it when passed. Ive put mine on the frame under the seat 2 min job to remove and put back on.

Hahahah  Cheers Gary you have just won me a tenner, I had a bet with my old man that you would be the first to point this out, Anyone for coffee ill be at Southport tomorrow night then the Scotchie.

A typical comment from a perfectionist, but yeah you are right Gary. :bleh:

They are strapped to the luggage rack until I make a bracket to put them on the top box, without having to hack the box too much.

    Thinking cap on.

Oh btw Gary I was in Southport the other night, was talking to a guy with a nice GSX1400 anyway the convo went on i was telling him about you and your blingy :shades: XJR. he says to me "I was here a few months ago talking to a guy with a lovley XJR and he was kicking off coz someone had put greasy finger marks on the tank" He even pointed to the exact place were our bikes were parked. Could have knocked me over with a feather, that was us mate remember the time we went to Rivi and we let some kid sit on our bikes. An you came out of the chippy in Southport spitting your dummy out thinking it was me or the bloke who had dared to touch ya baby. :w00t: Lmaoooooo . :haha: :haha: :bleh:
