My cheap Chinese seat cowl is turning more army green by the day.. Where's cheapest for spray as I want to just give it a couple of coats without spending more than it cost on spray paint..

Ive mixed up some reall nice green with silver fleck in it and loads of other colours , or I can get a very close colour.

Haha, it was 20 but they give it me half price when I told them it didn't fit properly, I modified it to fit and it looks ok now....
    Or at least it did

I can get a perfect kwak paint match about £20 1/4 litre, just have to rub old paint down to a matt to get wax off, seal it then put paint on and two coats of two pack an voila.
picture doesn't really show a lot of difference.

I have some left over Kwak green in a rattle can I had made up. Probably about 1/3 of the can left but should at least be enough to paint a little pillion seat cowl. You're welcome to it if you want it as otherwise it'll only go in the bin. Only problem is it was for a 2000 plate J1 model and Kwak are notorious for changing their shades/mixes of greens so no 2 years are the same. From what I recall though you have to use the correct colour base coat otherwise the green will never match. For some mixes of the green it needs a black base coat, for others a white one. Each thin coat of green changes the shade so put a couple of coats down then let it fully dry, compare it and then if it's not a match then add another coat and keep doing it that way until it matches.

Ideally to get a perfect match you don't want a pre-mixed off-the-shelf paint. Find your nearest automotive paint supplier and take a piece of the OEM green plastic from your bike down and let them make up an aerosol to match it. IMHO that's the only way you'll get a perfect match. It might cost you £10-15 for the aerosol and I understand what you're saying in that it's only a £10 cowl but it's not just a £10 bike. The overall result will impact on the bike, not just the cowl, so it's worth spending a little more to get a perfect match IMHO :)

Cheers for the offer mate but I'm pretty sure it changed on the 04/05 636.. Your right though I'll stop being a tight git and buy a matched tin..
