So i just come off my bike while turning a corner and now my bike seems fucked. When i picked it up it wouldnt move unless i clutched in. I messed about with the gears and eventually got it moving again but now the handlebars just wobble and i cant keep it in a straight line.

Does anyone know what kind of damage i should be looking for? I couldnt see anything noticeable but its too dark now.

    Cheers.

Unlucky hope it's not too bad, forks could be twisted in the yokes, slackening off all the attaching bolts of the forks and give them a good jiggle would sort out the alignment again. Worst case frame could be fucked. Give everything a good check over, all bar attachments etc. if you're not sure take it to someone who is, not worth taking any chances with steering and suspension.
Did the bike fall on the gear lever? That might explain the gerabox problem, if it's running ok now just listen for any unusual noises from the gearbox.

    Bad luck mate :(
Plenty reasons why it won't work.
Have a look at it in the morning.

Sorry to hear about the spill, hope you are ok. Depends on how the bike fell. Did it just slide down the road, or did it hit anything? If it did, what part of the bike took the knock?

The first part is normal. You came off during a corner, you were in gear. you cant push a bike in gear unless you pull the clutch in. You messed about with the gears, found neutral. I wouldn't worry about that one.

But I second Phils on the fact your forks might be twisted in the yokes, hopefully its not bad. At least you're alright, thats the important part.

Just have a look in the day light it will give you a better idea. Hope your ok. Unless the bike smacked into something solid I'd be surprised if you've bent the frame.

Had to check what bike it is, so is this still the YBR125?

If so you will most likely have twisted the fork legs in the clamps, as said already, loosen the clamp bolts making sure the wheel is free of the ground also loosen the front wheel spindle, the forks should pop back into alignment on there own. It can also help to loosen the mudguard bolts as these can shift as well.

With the gears clutch, check you haven't caught the gear lever with your boot when you came off, check the clutch actuation lever (on engine) as well.

Yea its still the YBR i have and ill have a look a bit more in a few minutes but i really dont know anything on the mechanical side so there isnt much i can do. The bike slid across the floor on the right footrest and the right handlebar from what i can tell, there didnt seem to be anything majorly wrong from what i could see, i was only doing about 10-15mph.

Is there anyone here in liverpool that could possibly check/fix my bike, i will pay your petrol and a bit more for the troubles. Cheers!

If it is just the fork alignment it's very simple there are videos on YouTube have a watch make notes if you need to and have a go.

So there's nothing wrong with it?
You'll have to be quite specific when asking for help on a forum.

Take your time to go over the bike in good daylight. If possible lift it up onto the centre stand, or better yet paddock stands, and rotate the wheels in turn to check if anything is catching and if the rim is buckled.

Pay particular attention to the rear brake, turn the rear wheel and operate the rear brake. Check if there's any damage to the brake calipers and if the rear brake foot lever is bent and catching on any part of the bike.

Somebody has already mentioned the triple clamps, but if your handlebars and wheel are pointing true, then there's little need to loosen and adjust the triple clamps.

I'd say when the planets are aligned and it's a full moon take the bike out side do a hand stand facing the wall then ask Jesus to cast his eyes over the bike for you

Let us know how you get on )

Or you could take the bike for a short controlled ride an feel if the bike feels different
