Head north and keep going, the best rd are in scotland. Try and get to glen coe very cool place to ride though.
Yeah, go up to Scotland its the best. I cycled (no engine :S ) from Snowdon (Wales) to Scar Fell Pike (Lakes) to Ben Nevis (Scotland) and I have to say that that Scotland had the best roads, loved it. Plan to go up on my own in summer. I really wanted to go to university up there, but none of them would take me for the course I wanted as I didn't have A-level maths grr.
Another vote for Scotland here. If you've got a full week off head for Ullapool, go up via the northwest coast then come back down the middle. BUT [sensible head] You've only just passed your test and you have very little riding experience under your belt as yet. In the circumstances I'd stay at home and plan lots of day rides of up to about 300 miles each day. That way if the riding gets too much for you you can have a day off, or if anything goes wrong you're not too far from home. Have a day in North/mid wales, go across Denbigh Moors, call in the Ponderosa then head down the A483. Have a day on the Welsh coast, follow it around to Aberystwyth. Have a day or two in the lakes, loads of places to go. Have a day in Yorkshire, head up to Hawes. Have a day in the peaks, go to Matlock via the Cat & Fiddle That lot should keep you busy.......
