heading off to the isle of man next week, only going for a couple of days just wondered if anyone knew of anything we should do whilst there part from the course and fairy bridge.
Just got back from five days there, the weather was perfect, no rain at all. Take a trip down the A14 from the mountain. Lovely views. Goes all the way to Jurby Junk! What a pile of shite but worth a visit for a laugh. Have some queenies at the cafe at the sound, they are the best on the island. Visit Hissies statue at Onchan point. Train ride up Snaefell. Boat ride to view whales, sharks dolphins etc.
Jammy sod. I love the island , the south . Port Erin etc is nice , Castletown all good . Check out the southern 100 course . Point of Ayre , peel , Laxey wheel. ,!! Loads to Do oh ....eat kippers and drink ale .....some of the best roads are off the course , just. Explore and have fun , you can't get lost !
Nice coast road between Peel and Kirk Michael. Good chippy on the front in Peel Tynwald Mills craft centre and restaurant. Castles in Peel and Castletown. Point of Ayre in the North. Wildlife Centre at Quarry Bends, (great bit of road there as well!) Joey's memorial at the Bungalow. Nice back road from the Bungalow to Sulby. Photo at the Creg - got to have one Bike Museums in Mirk Michael and on the A1. Drink Bushys and O'Kells. Should fill a couple of days
Yes! Just booked a day trip over there for next month. £39 return, foot passenger. Perfect as my old man lives 5 minutes from Heysham docks. Arrive at 6am, sail back at 8pm so it'll be a long day lol. Have a top time XJ, like others have said just set off on your bike and have a wiz around, can't get lost and plenty to see. Enjoy .
just got home now and i LOVED it, got loads of good footage and photos (will upload later) word of advise don't take the coast road to laxey its the worst road i have ever been on nearly came off couple of times and was only doing 30, i could ride the mountain section all day best bit of the course
