Indicator resistors

As some of you are aware, i've been putting my own bike together over the past couple of weeks, it's done, all running and Mot'd ect.

Only issue i have is that on but not idling, the indicators flash far too quickly, this can be sort by resistors, something i plan to do this week. The real thing that has me stumped is that when the bike has been running a while the indicators become a solid light when flicked on, not flashing at all. Will this be sorted by the resistors or is it the sign of a dodgy reg/rec?

    Cheers in advance.

Edit: On a side note, which are the correct resistors to use? I'm useless with electrics. The indicators are just the standard bulbed 2 wired job.

Have you swapped bulbs for LEDs?
If you have you might need a new flasher relay, or even if you haven't it may be the problem.

Yes the resistors will solve both issues.

I have 4 if you want any, free if you collect 'em

The indicator issue is now solved lads cheers, i'm still using bulbed indicators, didn't put two and two together did i. The relay is about 18 years old and past its best. Cheers though! If i still need those resistors woody i'll give you a shput though cheers!

The indicators are still bulbed ones, i don't opt for Led as a lot aren't bright enough. It's just a case of having a fried relay i think, just needs replacing with a new Oem part
