For a while I've been wondering what to do with a motor I have. I used to race karts, i still have a frank wrathall tuned Honda cr85 engine complete with carb and expansion pipe that was good for about 32hp that i used on my old junior gearbox kart. Its just sat there and I'm dying to do something with it but no idea what. Ideas?????
I reckon I have a frame for it here to make a track bike, be awesome around some of the short curcuits, infact have you still got the frame for the cr 85? that could be modified and a set of RS 125 fairings fitted
Haha 32hp 13,000 rpm spaz chariot! Was thinking more along the lines of a little ped or bike or something. Something people wouldn't expect to shift. It was bloody fast the kart we had when we used it.
What class ?? My dad races 210 National with Villiers 9E engines on Long Circuit (noted for being the cheaper option of karting) if your looking to get back into it, PM me & we'll see what we can do to help :thumbsup: As for the engine, i'd do what Daz said & stick it in a frame & track it & do something with it on track/trials.
I raced Cadets, TKM, junior gearbox with the NKF then I raced ICC 125 gearbox. Not interested in getting back into it to be honest, I had a decent 10 year stint. More interested in bikes now. Take it he races at rissington then? Thats the only place I've ever seen a villiers racing. Ah just noticed you said long circuit. Actually tell a lie I have been tempted by 250 nationals but the grids are so up and down I wouldn't want to invest in all the gear again to race against another 5 people which is the situation we ended up being in with ICC gearbox.
