A few weeks ago I posed the question about adding a single swing arm to my Hornet. This was mostly through boredom and after a few comments, reading other posts etc etc I decided you were all right. It would be nice, but costly and not quite worth the effort. That did spur me on to brows ebay a little and I managed to pick up a new Swingarm for £20! Happy days! Mine is marked a little so I figured I would replace it. Anyway, while I have the wheels off etc I decided I should also powder coat them.....They're a `stippled` grey at the moment and a nightmare to clean so I am going for a nice black finish. Proobably just as difficult to clean and will show the dirt more..... Anyway, I was half way through taking pictures and decided to post it here once done. I forgot to take a before photo but I'm sure you will get the drift. Also, I forgot to start snapping at the beginning, got all excited! So, before I could jack the bike up I needed to whip a few bits off, mainly; - Exhaust - Radiator Cover / Guard I then, used some Kindling to fill the gaps below the engine, jacking the bike up and down over and over until I was happy it was stable. To be fair this was a top tip I will recomend! Kindling seems to be the perfect size for this kind of faffing around, although a bit like motorbike buckaroo. Except if you lose the bike falls on you! =================================================================== Ok, I dont want to lose what I already typed, but I cant get the images to show.....can someone let me in on how to share FlickR images and then ill finish the post...... Cheers!
