Putting my Honda bros 400cc 1988 model up for sale, put a lot of work into it getting it working as it should do, there are a couple of issues that i was currently working on, but since someone tried to steal it and slid a screwdriver into the barrel i just dont have any more money to throw at it sadly, i have a new ignition already so its just a case of getting the old one off and its a decent commuter, open to sensible offers. [IMG] seat has since been replaced since this photo was taken, this is just to give an idea of the dent in the tank [IMG]m/d/14/04/11/e5amyveb.jpg[/IMG] this is before, bought it for £450 non roadworthy

Nah i just cant afford to pay a garage to fit this new ignition! So i'm looking at selling on and then getting a gpz 500 or something

The new ignition is an easy fix, where abouts are you? I changed mine on the nc30 it took 5 mins and 4 mins of that was finding my torx bits.

Yeah, if that's the only reason you're selling then I'd say it's a bad move to sell... to be honest it'd be worth buying the torx bits if it means you end up with a working bike, and you have another tool for future use!

it's a cracking little bike, if you sell that then try and get something else for similar money then the chances are it won't be anything like as nice (i've said much of this to you elsewhere I guess, but just backing up Jimmy's advice, sounds spot on!)

my nc30 was literally two torx bolts from underneath, and the wire just connects into the loom on a block.
I've got the gear to do it, im just not near you and have a lot on this weekend. If you haven't sorted it over the weekend I'll see if I can make it over your way after work one day next week

I've said in the past that when you decide to sell it (hopefully not for a while!) I'd be interested.... but I'd like to add a condition..

I'd want legally binding assurances that smudger had been no where near it! Lol

Going on autotrader for 350. Not got the time to sort it out. In desperate need of a bike.

Mate just give someone some tokens for petrol and I'm sure pretty much anyone will help you do it. Very easy when you know how.

Don't sell it cheap because you won't be able to replace it!

    Totally agree with woody

You'd be better paying someone to fit it than sell it that cheap, honestly you'd really regret it, trying to replace it for that kind of money will likely get you a dog

Right it's a honda so the regrec was going to go no matter what. Buy the part for 20 and we'll help you.

350 is fair for a non runner but you might struggle to actually find a buyer.

I'm happy to help or poss happy to buy it. Tbh I'd feel bad buying it as I'd prob just fix the few issues and then sell it on for around 550-600
