HELP!!!!

bought a gixxer thou a month or so ago, not having much luck at the minute as 2 weeks down the line the alarm caught fire, got that sorted but was at the wheelie road last night and heard a strange tapping sound from the front end somewhere, didnt think much of it as the bike rode fine untill i got in my back yard and stopped, all of a sudden some sort of smoke or steam ( dont know what it was) started bellowing out, it looked like it was coming from the radiator but cant be sure, any help would be appreciated. thanks

 

Take it back to where you bought it Chris,if you try fixing it your self then the garage might try and wriggle out of the warrenty

 

think i might just do that, still got a month and a half left on the warranty so looks like its going back yet again at weekend

 

Was it smoke or steam? did you ride the bike home?

What kind of temperature did the bike hit?

 

well it looked like steam coz it was condensating everything but it had a funny smell to it, rode the bike home fine, no problems what so ever, but only when i stopped in my back yard it happened, the temp was about 90 degrees when stationary but was rising slowly, cheers for the comments on the wheelies spikey, was impressed myself, went pretty far didnt i lol :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

hmm i never saw any either, have you checked for any loose or split pipes near the rad?? an yes the wheelies were mint some proper long uns!!

 

cheers for the comments on the wheelies guys, but all in all fellas the bike now seems fine, checked the bike over, checked all levels and ran it to temp, oil's fine, coolant's fine, rad fan kicks in at right temp, even went for a spin to asda and back, came back and was still fine so its just a mystery to me but im gonna keep an eye on it and see how it goes next time were out, hopefully nothing will go wrong and i wont have to be recovered back home, cheers for the input fellas, much appreciated, see ya's soon :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup: :thumbsup:
