Can anyone help me with this... I've seen a 2006 EXC 250 2T that I may be able to use for my karting. The regulations say ktm 544/545/546/547/548 are accepted?? What the buggerey does the 544 etc number mean? Is this like a model number for their engines. I always thought this related to their capacity but it doesn't. Anyone know which number the EXC 250 06 motor falls under?
Yep that's right, 52X is 250 2 stoke apparently but dunno what the last digit is. Maybe the year? I'll try and get the numbers off him.
the exc250 is a 544 engine, from 1986 onwards. download the engine workshop manual from carlsalter.com or google for it and you will see the engine numbers. so the engine you have is good to use in the kart. should go like stink lol owners manual http://www.ktm.com/enduro/250-exc-f-eu/downloads.html engine manual http://www.carlsalter.com/pdfs/KTM_250-525SX.MXC.EXC.racing.pdf theres loads more if you look around
Those links to 4 strokes? I'm using a 250 2 stroke. Think you are right though it should meet the regs I can actually use a 450 4 stroke but the 2 strokes seem to have the edge still.
