    Need some advice....

I recently took my bike to (as yet unnamed dealer) for it's 16k major service (valves ect), it didn't need the plugs or air filter replacing as it had them at the last service.
So i leaves it there for a day, picks it up £250 lighter and rides home - only to smell coffee when i arrive..
I look down at the side of the bike to find that it's spraying radiator fluid on the frame....i give the dealer a call, and they told me to check if the right radiator had any fluid left in as the overflow was empty at this point, there was so i rode it back to the dealers keeping a close eye on the engine temp...

I picks the bike up a few days later and left it in the garage as the weather was a bit crap.

On the saturday just gone, i fancied a blast on it, so went from Bolton to Wigan as i needed to go somewhere, bike was running fine and all was good..
When i was waiting at the traffic lights i looked in my mirror and thought "there's a car smoking a lot..." only to realize it wasn't a car - but my bike

I pulled over, and found that every time i revved the throttle, plumes of blue smoke were coming out of both exhausts - the left one more than the right. I then checked the oil, seemed ok so i rode home.

When i was riding back i was checking to see if it was chucking oil out all the time or not, it wasn't so i assumed it had stopped. Wrong, when i got back into Bolton, it had started again.

Phoned the dealer up, who put me onto the mechanic who did the job, only for him to accuse me of over revving it, or that 'these things happen'

I took it in later that day, where one of the decent mechanics came out and said he'd have a quick ride on it to see if he thought it was a problem, as with it not doing it all the time it wasn't doing it when i brought it it in....

When he came back from his ride on it you could smell the oil, and we noticed that on the tips of both exhausts there was oil!

I left it with them saying 'i don't expect to be paying for this' as let's be honest, what are the chances of both cylinders going pop 60 miles after a major service??

However, with luck not on my side at the moment, i expect them to come up with some excuse as to why it's not their fault...

Has anyone any idea what could have gone wrong and what i should do if they deny it's their fault?

Is it a proper dealer or a garage?

Not too mechanically minded myself so no ideas on the problem, But i am sure one of the lads can help you out.

Sounds like we need a " VILLANS AND COWBOYS " section on the forum to name and shame some of these places so no one else gets shafted :x

I'll think about it. Just need to look into the legal side of things. Don't want any businesses threatening to sue me because of "loss of business" etc.

    Still no bike....

Last update i got was they checked the airbox for oil and found none, and they checked the rear cylinder and it was apparently 'ok' - hmm, don't buy that as there was oil on the end of the can....

Got to ring up on friday for another update....

Finally got my bike back on monday, turned out to be a trapped engine breather hose. All in all it took them something like 6 weeks to fix this and they only started actually doing something about my bike once i started threatening to make a formal complaint....
