My headlight wasnt working one morning when i got up for work, so had to use full beam for 2 days ... then yesterday went to work early morning went over a bump and the full beam stopped working aswell.... whats it likely to be, does anybody have an inkling? Going to check the bulb for starters tomorrow

Bulb would be the first place to look, especially if it was working on high beam.

Going over a hump, you probably jogged the broken deep filament on to the full filament and blew that two.
Worth checking the fluid in your battery though.

Sounds like the air box is getting to much oil. Check water and for stiff links.

Bulb would certainly be the first thing to check, next thing I'd check would be the wires at the back, make sure they've not been rubbing and shorted to the frame... That happened on my SZR, easy fix, just took some finding

    Good luck

id say a loose connector thats been worked loose because of the bumps. when all my lights went on the 125 the other week, it was purely down to the connector on the reg/rec. took it out and plugged it back in and hey presto!

if the bulb isn't the issue, tighten your chain, grab yourself a crate of beer and then trace the wiring back starting at the lights and back through the loom and jiggle the connectors.

I checked the airbox and no oil in there

I'd be looking for a loose connector or earth fault first.
Check the bulbs with a meter first just to be sure they are blown, remember don't touch the filament with bare fingers use gloves.

Wouldn't you have to break the glass to do that?

Yes, it's a tricky operation if you still want to use the bulb.

Figured a new bulb would illuminate the problem.
