Just had a complete service done on the Bandit, and the carbs balanced !! Now it wont start from cold without me holding the throttle open to keep the revs stupidly high :S, on the choke it just bogs down and dies within seconds, or just wont fire up at all !!

    Any ideas ??

    TIA

    :(

use half choke instead of full choke?

Cats SV would do that...from cold...full choke...no throttle...once running, as revs climb (5 secs at most) tuen down to half choke...give in 1 min then it would rev fine and choke could be tunred off.

I dont knonw much about engines but if its just been serviced it might be running better so getting too much fuel on full choke.

not much help but worth a try.

im guessing the air filter has been cleaned/replaced..

this will change the air/fuel mixture slightly.

balancing the carbs should help it to idle/cruise more smoothly.

It's all depends on what work has been done!

New sparks, new oil filter, air filter was fine so they just cleaned it. Valves were done too. And the y also balanced the carbs as it was running flat around 8k revs.

It was fine first few days after the service, but its this last 3 days that it wont start properly !!

oh and had a few pops out the exhaust which it never did b4 the service ????

Will try the half choke when i finish @ 5

    Thanks
