gsxr400+nc24

    got two problems 1st .gsxr400(gk73a)after seizure (crank)on 30/9/08 bought recon engine same model heard running fitted it misfired so replaced carbs still misfired so changed needles still misfiring gonna keep trying till it works anyone help?now for 2nd problem just bought vfr400 nc24 g ref 1990 was running fine until put away for 6mths due to back operation then wouldnt start got good compression gd spark but wont fire i have changed plugs cleaned carbs (including jets)turns over well been told to check vacuum isnt blocked failing this im stumped any ideas people would be very much appreciated thanks

    Have ya drained and replaed the fuel?? Stood over such a long period of time petrol loses its Octane rating!!

    In regards to the NC24 not starting how do you mean?

    I had an NC24 and had a problem with the regulator/rectifier going. Try charging your battery up overnight and seeing if it'll start then or try bumping it.

    If that works and the battery dies after 3/4 days it's your reg/rec.

    for the gsxr, have you checked the rubber hoses on the carbs for cracks?

    for the honda i'd say the same as carl and d/fish :thumbsup: drain the petrol out and fill with fresh, check your fuel filter isn't clogged .

    when cleaning carbs i always give to my m8 who gets them sonic waved. gets all the little bits out were you carnt get to(all the little passages). sent mine they went looking dirty and came back looking brand new. Bike fired up first time, i then balanced them and not had a problem with them since. they were of a cbr400
