hey everyone been doin loads on the gsxr fitted a full titanium arrow exhaust system arrow rearsets new hell braided lines sbs pads cannot belive how good the was shoddy now brilliant brakes are ^_^ nearly as good as the race bike which is saying allot considering how much of a difference there was to the 675 gave it a service all ready for the trip to the isle of man just got to get the new grips maybe some stomp grips like my race bike and decide on the tyres an shes good to go let me know whatya think roll on the tt Tom
thanks lads long post ahoyy captin' first time Ive touched a camera mate, since last year been having a major break from it after getting disillusioned with the industry on a whole but boy was it good just to have a little play Just waiting on some renthall grips and getting the tyres on Saturday so I can get some millage on her really just wanted to improve on the brilliant bike that the k8 is but for me it was very soft and dare I say it sport tourer ish struggled alot with the turn in and it tracking on every little imperfection on the roads, well after riding the 675 a few times at Mallory it was highlited alot of things that I started to hate about the gsxr but now Its the bike I aspired to when I stepped up to a 600 With the arrow rearsets the seating position is sweet as now and the exhaust sounds brilliant and has improved the mid range a fair bit, always been very impressed with Arrow systems after having one on my two stroke and the sublime race system on the 675 just can't say enough for them especially for the price the quality is spot on to. And the brakes what can I say it feels how the brakes should be a spend has really transformed the bike completely. was just reading about tyres after trying to sort out what to put on and discovered this bit of information with regards to the power pures 2lbs savings on your tires = equates to saving about 8lbs off your rotors.... in world of Rotating mass that is HUGE might be worth a try especially with the 33bhp restrictor still on it till feb feels like riding a bike stuck in reverse after getting of the 675, wanted to really improve brakes and handling. so I can keep the speed up as much as possible for the isle of man the gixer 600 will hold a steady 120mph even with the restricter. Ill get some reviews up on whatever tyres I put on not many peeps have tried the m5's or pures yet so we shall see what I decide on might put one on dads 750 and the other on the 600 and swap the wheels over to get a back to back comparison. Been tyring to find a review on the m5 metzler's but seems hardly anyone has them yet. Massive massive fan of the metzler interact racetec's haha Ill stop rambling now lol Thanks for the comments everyone great to get opinions see you all at the TT, Tom
got 2000 miles in mate with a missing engine mount locknut was horrible to ride at speed 100+ but my mate who owns a suzuki dealership assured me it was ok to ride just was hell at high speeds as the engine was pulling over to one side creating a horrid banging which was the chain lol not good at all much to dads amusement on his perfect 750 still had a amazing time and cant wait to get back next year smooth as silk now I've got the mount back on and the engine tightened back up and its not pulling to one side jobs a good en not to sure on the tyres though don't like the feeling of the front end of michellins come to the conclusion im definatley a metzler person just cant wack them got baggs of confidence in the ones on the racebike and looking forward to tryin the road tyres Tom Tom
