What do you mean by tight between the grips and knuckles?

It doesnt trap your fingers unless your hand position is at the end of the handlebars its just tight on full lock

The VFR traps my hand on full lock either side, You've got to roll your hands over the bars to keep hold of it. Doesn't hit the tank, though. The Thundercat has a little more clearance.

If you pinkies can get trapped between the handlebar and tank it is an MOT failure.

Further more, if you have a lock to lock tank slapper, what kinda mess is it gonna make in you gloves.

They won't have made it like that. work out who has change what and change it back.

Is there no way of moving the bars or modifying the lock/stop?

    clip ons need adjusting.

regarding the VFR trapping your fingers, again there are tiny marks which aid setting up, and once adjusted correctly leave enough space with ease.

Nice 3TJ, so whats the plan for it ? i have a 3TJ6 SP too

Passed mot with an advisory noisy exhaust and front tyre near legal limit but on the way home it was spluttering and coughing and some times it wouldn't rev over 4000 rpm sometimes lower any one shead any light

the guys on 400greybike are spot on and can give sound advice on anything 400 related.
Even although i own a 3TJ6 SP i know little about these, my knowledge is far more comprehensive on the V4's
