Ok... when taking the hyo out for the meet last night... i noticed it was running like a bitch... flat spots all over the place.. Its been garaged for 4 months.... been turning it over once every 3-4 weeks... My question is this.. as the bikes been stood for this length of time could it be that the fuel in the tank has got somewhat stale? causing these flat spots?
I await this response myself. The vfr has been stood for a bit longer than that and does the same. I have taken the plugs out and cleaned them but not had chance to give it a good run. Thats all i can suggest mate with my limited knowlege im afraid. A good run may sort it out or take out and clean the plugs.
cant imagin being the fuel, ive had 12month old fuel in old bikes and its started, my mums old rg250 in the garage has got 4year old fuel, that started fine when my dad kicked it over!
What he said but renew the plugs and put some fresh petrol in it. You can try a carb cleaning spray but some times its worth striping the carbs down and soaking in petrol and then blowing compressed air through all the jets and all the holes in the carb.
if an engine has been sat for a length of time nothing will be perfect all the oil drops to the bottom which mean your bores will be bone dry and start to corrode slightly all it needs is a good blast m8
carb/carbs will be shitted up. get some redex in the fuel or just clean the carb/carbs out when you have time.
LMFAO... why does everyone think im a bloke IM NOT A BLOKE THAT HAS MAN BOOBS !!! IM A GAL WITH LADY LUMPS !!
Well i would say that your plugs are flooded, think about it. you have been turning it over no doubt with the choke on. There for the engine is running lean, Take plugs out. wash em in white spirit, Re gap em and and take it out for a DAM GOOD THRASHING like every HOE deserves
