on way home from southport,if you saw 2 bikes parked up outside edge hill college last neet one was mine,blew a main fuse changed it bike started put lights on and everthing went dead!!! no more blown fuses waited 2 and half fuckin hours for recovery!!took battery off this morning battery wont charge only had the cunt a week!,looked at recitifier burnt fuckin wires more fuckin money i cant afford!:arghh::arghh:
think i've fixed it, i had a spare rectifier of a vtr sp2 but i had to file some of the fins down as its a big fucker and it was touching my seat fairing and it would have melted it!! so i filed it down a bit,fitted it and still nothing would light up anyway it turned out it was a 30amp fuse that was NOT blown to look at any way i plugged it in my battery charger and it said it was faulty,so i changed it and hey presto as Dr Frankenstein shouted "its alive" and with the new rectifier my idiot lights are a lot brighter so hopefully all is now fine
You think reg/recs are an issue? Look at the state of mine! 4 mile ride up to see my daughter! Hondas.....who'd fooking have 'em....all mine have been nothing but trouble! Edit: This is coolant for those that are unaware.....not me getting a bit excited when i was near the bike :angel:
New pads fitted today one side still like new otherside almost down to the metal but tapered fron end to end.... had the caliper freed off again. I. ...Went out for a ride collected Dani then suddenly felt like someone bloody heavy is stood on my chest so gone to bed...... oh and Sorry to hear about everyone else's Honda trouble..
you wana try to solve the shit in the world of BMW with the RT tourer…costing the company Billions due to a problem with the electronic rear shock ..incredible at present ..having said that the customer service has been fantastic you holed a pipe or the Rad ?
I assume the radiator is cracked, pipes are fine but Kseal failed after a few days. Next touring bike is going to be a Bmw F650GS, so i'll join the bandwagon of moaning about them in due time dont worry. At least they solved the issue instead of pretending it doesnt exist, cant say that for all companies! :thumbsup:
theres a company that repairs rads! rather than quote for new……the BMW issue only relates to the new Watercooled RT no other models are effected…yeah they are working 24 7 to sort it out …good luck with the rad
Quoted £45 for a repair and repaint, but they havent seen the rad yet and a new hornet rad is only £60, so it may be more economical to replace :unsure:
