Fork issue

Well, had the fork lowers and both yokes on my B12 powdercoated, so replace the headbearings and fork seals whilst its all apart. A good excuse to put 15w oil in the forks too to stiffen it up.

The issue is, one fork didn't slide so smooth in the stanchion upon rebuild. My mate said not to worry, its just because its dry. Well, on full rebuild it was indeed better, but I still thought it didn't run as smooth as before... anyway - did the other one and it is much smoother the whole way.

So, if one fork rebounds a bit slower than the other under riding, will it have an effect? I don't want to be experiencing a tank slapper any time soon...
It really isn't a drastic difference, but you can feel it when compressing one just after the other.

    Cheers,

If one didnt slide in as easy as the other i would be looking at the bushes being buggered on that stubborn side.

Pull the fork out, pull it apart, replace the bushes.
It's a ballache but saves a shit load of hassle in the long run.

Yup, you were right. The bush was chewed up by us tapping it in place without using a washer/similar. Luckily it sanded flat and now works perfectly.
