Hey guys bought some lower fairings for the fazer but they are black and I want them red can anyone do this and how much? I want them in the normal red coz then I'm going to add decals to it.
If you were feeling keen with a spray can, you'd get a pretty damn good finish at home, only needs lacquer over the top to give it a high gloss, and as long as you've sprayed evenly it should cover pretty well, especially if you're going the decal route, how much of the red is going to show through as a rough %?
More than 70% I'd say, the decals will be yamaha style to keep in line with the rest of the bike. Want it so it looks boss without vinyl too! Also guys a want the can cut down anyone fancy it?
try a local bodyshop? or failing that http://www.dreamlandmotorcyclepaintshop.co.uk/ http://jlhracepaint.co.uk/
Stupid as this may sound, you might be as well phoning round a few breakers to see if they have a red one in stock and if they'll do a part ex with the black one you have? Don't know how common this part is... but I'd say it would be worth a try as it may turn out cheaper than getting it painted, and the colour / finish etc should match better? Just a thought
You reckon? The misses says the same and I'm just not convinced. Maybe some red decals will improve it.
The second you get red, you'll wish you had black with the amount of dirt that will be visible! There's a spray shop just round the corner from me, but not sure what their charges are.
