Dunno if I've mentioned this on here before. I've got a rebuilt, fully frank wrathall race tuned honda CR85 motor (about 32hp) that I used in the junior gearbox karting class that I've thought about doing something with for a while. The class died a death because it was more hands on than the others and, to put it bluntly all the fat wallets went to electric start sealed motor classes. Now it's not worth selling because of what I'd get for it, not tuned for motocross anymore and the karting class has gone. Has a full HGS race expansion pipe on it and also have a lovely new little carbon fibre stinger silencer, other fancy parts too. Seems a waste that its just sat collecting dust in a box. Getting images in my head of a 6spd 2 stroke honda C90 with a full expansion chamber and sexy little carbon pipe out the back. Luckily though the way a c90 chassis is I don't think it's very do able. But maybe an ar50, rd50? I quite like the little honda mb5s but they seem to be rare as rocking horse shit, but I know it's doable as I found this on the interwebs Anything else worth considering?
I remember (quite!) a few years ago, one of the bike mags put a KX125 engine into an AR125. The mounting brackets/chain alignment etc were spot on as if Kawasaki had meant it as a factory option! As it's a Honda lump, I'd guess a Honda frame may be the better option?
Yeah I don't really want to put it in anything other than a honda, though I might be being daft saying that if there are better options outside of honda. It'd be a laugh wouldn't it, well laugh/death trap!
Aye apparently so, but my late model 85 despite being a little smaller is a much better and more powerful engine.
h100 engine is useless though, had an mb5, gp100 bottom end, gp125 top end, tuned to death with a rotax pipe on. went like a scalded earwig!!! seriously pissed people off on cb9's etc, was great fun
