Hi. Iam wanting to cut my scorpion down to make a stubby. Seen lots off ppl do this themselves and say its easy. My question is. Is it easy. Is there a point and does it actually do anything?

Slightly shorter (couple of inches MAX) is ok.
Those cut down to about 6" look and sound fuckin gash imo.

Exhausts are "tuned" and the length will effect performance either mid or top end.

It's safe to take a 350 down to 300 but any lower and your likely to effect the bike.

It's all down to preferences and weather you can afford to lose power....

You need more power not less POWER!!!!!!!!!

People forget when fitting most after market cans to have carbs/injectors reset for optimen power (couple of brake). should have mine checked really, but checking plug colour gives a rough guide. Overfueling can increase bore wear! but most bikers don't do a lot of miles anyway. hoping to get mine dyno'd 'as is' then dynojet and k&n and re-dyno'd to see what difference it makes (lot of bullshit out there, Ha), when funds allow. might have to raid the piggybank, Shuss.

My blade came with an aftermarket exhaust and it ran really lumpy at low revs. Bought a power commander and emailed Dynojet for a custom map which I received FOC. The difference was unbelievable. It stopped the lumpy feeling at low revs and I discovered another power band up at 9.5 krpm. There's loads of you tubers showing how to chop a can down. Don't forget to put all the wadding back in before you rivet the end back on !

The way to measure the length is see how long it needs to be for the hanging strap to be bang in the middle of the can. Stubbies where the strap is right at the end look shit imo.
