This Sunday I am riding up to devils bridge with my other half, setting off from mc Donalds on the a59 opposite the fishing lodge at about 10 am then heading to the bridge and carrying on up to lake district, any takers?
My recommendation is to get up there earlier. Get to the Jubilee Tower in Abbeystead for dawn, watch the sunrise from the Tower and then crack on via the twisties to Devil's Bridge for a bacon butty and a brew. Done that a couple of times and it's epic
I'm a possible if I can get myself back into day mode on Saturday. Could do with getting out before next weekend.
I might come but can you clarify postcode of Macdonalds and what time you be there If not might see you at Devils Bridge - come say ello - I've got a green er6f with a small tank bag on back seat.
Might have to meet you up at Devils Bridge - that a bit early for me to get there by 10am. Come say Hi to me
Oh Tish wish I'd read your post Cabernet cause I was there at 8.40am and waited till 10am this morning - what a bloody plonker Still went over to Devils Bridge but kinda wish I hadn't bothered - weather black, windy and very, very cold - only about a dozen bikes there so came home where the sun was shining. Not the best day I've had :nw: Still if you go tomorrow have a good time - I'm dog sitting so can't get out :woot:
Ravenglass, Hardnott and Wrynose in early March. Good start to the season. Set me up nicely for next weekend. Good shout @BikerDan. Great day.
