Its quite a bad one aswel - between 6-7k.

Its noticable in every gear but especially bad in 5th and 6th. Its difficult to get through it in 6th - but once im through it and powerband kicks in its fine.

It used to happen before i did my top end but not this bad - think i remember seeing somewhere about the rs's have an efficiency restriction on the cdi unit....not sure if mine has got that as its got a diff electrical system.

    Any ideas?

Is it carbed, or FI? (No idea whether RS's are now FI...)

If it's carbed, it could be a blocked jet? I think around 6/7 is when it comes onto main.

carbs need cleaning (happens if its been left for along time with fuel in float bowl)

or airleak causing excess air (lean spot @ 6-7)

Dont think its powerband, that seems to be working fine cos it dont come in til 8 and is doing that as before.

Its carbed not FI. How i go about cleanin jets out?

Yeah as i far as i know mate.

Like i said it doesnt kick in til 8k anyway, and its passed the dead spot then so i cant see it being that - unless im misunderstanding something

right this carb is of my tzr but its an idea

undo the screws (yellow ones) should be 4
you will see whats in side
then blow through that pipe (black pointin to it)

you should here air come through if not you need to clean all of the inside
