Can anyone recommend a courier service that joe public can use? I want a parcel collecting from my house that ive sold on ebay. Wont get to post office this week.

p4d.co.uk is basically a 'compare the market' for collection/delivery services. CityLink usually the cheapest. Book it before 11pm and they can do next day.

That'd be about right, known in the trace as shitty link, when I sold my company they asked me to go to work for them, I spent a day in Trafford Park and a day in Preston, things might have changed in the 8 years or so but they were a bunch of cowboys back then.

I had Warrington, Slough (briefly) Nottingham, one of the Newcastle ones, 2 in London and Gatwick. Is it still the Irish chap who's got Preston? Think it was a family run depot from what I remember.

Yeah john still owns it but he's took a bit of a back seat now his daughter and her husband look after it now we have Preston Blackburn and Blackpool now I run the workshop there really good company to work for why did you leave?
I sold the company while it was still doing well, we were really a sameday company but a few depots did overnight stuff out of necessity. One of the multinationals wanted a foothold in a specialist area that we had cornered and made an offer at a time that suited me.
