Ok just thinking about my snapped clutch cable,
its the third one snapped in same place first one was on the old setup but the other 2 on the new setup, all snapping from the lug bit in the clutch lever itself the latest clutch cable was a brand new oem one and roughly 400 miles on it.

now ive checked the slits and entry points on the lever and holder thing and no sharp edges, its not a sudden snap at first it starts by getting harder to put in neutral when stopping then gets to not being able to find neutral atall unless I stall it, would it be possible ive had 2 faulty cables or could something more sinister be happening, I know I dont clear the clocks on full lock as the metal bentbit of the cabke will hit the clocks but I dont full lock unless im doing a push maneuver.

    Anyone any suggestions

Are you getting your cables from the same place each time?
Try a different outlet or even a genuine one.

Have you re- routed the cable at some time?
Possible that its sticking somewhere else and just going at the weakest point.
How come you cant get full lock btw? New clip ons?

    Different outlets for cables

    full lock I can get
but I dont use full lock unless im stationary so I beleave this would eliminate the cable hitting the clocks to be the cause.

last cable was from wemoto one before ebay

sounds like the cables too tight smudge .. id say thats the main course of it getting harder to put in gear as the clutch is not engaging or dis engaging the plates ….is it attached correctly at the other end ? not the clip on end

I set the clutch to a bit of play from pulling and when completely pulled about 3/4 inch to bite plenty of play though, wonder if I have routed it wrong causing it to stretch when turning bike round

Sorry for wait lol anyway I think.I know the issue looks like the spacer thing that goes over the ball has come off and this has caused the ball bit to pull through the lever and trapping it, I believe this would be not being able to put in neutral when coming to a stop.
And whilst I have been using the lever there's been no pivot so to speak so the cable would of just been bending up n down causing heat and friction. I think like when you been metal it gets hot then snaps.

    Feel free to correct me
