Mint ride out. thanks to all concerned and we hope it becomes an annual event. Got home safe and sound then the heavens opened in Chorley with a spectacular hail storm !! Cheers again.
Just like to add my bit, a BIG thanks to Sue and to everyone involved in the organising and running of todays charity ride out , I'd like to mention a lad who " when he heard it was for the NWAA" came down in the Cumbria rain " we know what that's like" just to ride ...Nice one John. and to all that took part well done all.
Just counted the money and we raised £288.79 and one cent ... i will put it in the bank tomorrow and send them a cheque and get a receipt along with a certificate WELL DONE EVERYONE ..
Woman in the cafe said we should ask silcocks to sponsor our ride next year and that they regularly donate £500 on events
really ? from April till mid october every sunday its packed with bikes and every weds eve too ....its easy enough to find as you enter Southport head for the Promenade and Lake , you cant miss it ... right next to the Bridge and Pier ....
Sorry I didn't I was to busy positioning myself for the front of the queue for a brew...started at the back then there was a shout for the press after that I was second in the queue... Result
they do Ian ..we have a Santa Run that they put cash too and the Local Queenscourt Hospice do a night time walk under the stars during the summer , they definitely donate to that and supply the walkers with hot drinks. If you send an Email to Justin at the address i wrote to he will sort it out for next year...if you have any shots with their amusements or ride in the background send them too
