    hey guys...

well ive been thinking of what i can do for charity this year and ive come up with an idea..

Bolton - Jon o' Groats - Lands end - Bolton... (1800 miles within 60 hours)

    no motorways or toll roads

google maps gives 42 hours riding (the extra 18 hours are for a little sleep and food and fill ups) want to keep it as safe as possible as i dont fancy riding with no sleep for 2 days solid, also sticking to speed limits.

im looking to do this in june time and the charity im going to do it for is marie curie cancer research (a just giving link will be added soon when i get it all sorted properly).

    ...........

so anyway, at the moment im looking at doing it solo, but was wondering if anyone would be interested in joining me for a few days riding and also if anybody would be interested in sponsoring the event (i am looking to raise about £1000 and will take out the petrol money from that (ill pay for hotels/BnB's myself and food, but at a predicted £250 - £300 fuel cost i cant afford that sort of hit myself)

    what you guys think?

there is a huge thread ion here at present about a scotland trip, which started off as a lands end to John o groats ride. why not read the 24 pages of that and join in with that. The trip will be a cheaper fuel run so you could pledge all the funds you make , which obviously will benefit the charity of your choice.

queen sue is head on that one.

i considered just doing jon o' groats to lands end for it... however after thinking about it for about 5 min i realised i had to get up there to set off from jon o' groats and back from lands end... which is why i opted for this idea of a round trip... that way im starting near where i live and finishing back up there and 2 1/2 days is the target (60 hours lee)
