You could get s custom made one.. Not sure on where does it but I'm sure there'll be a few places around the area. You need yo make sure all the mounting points are the same and that it all lines up.

If you add a tank 25% bigger, when you fill it up you will add a further 20% to the value of the bike.

That will increase it's value 4 fold.

Mind you, if he was to run with a link pipe to Lister's, you two might get out of Merseyside.

    I wouldnt bother.
If you can find one to fit (which I doubt) then it would just look odd imo.
You should be good for about 180 miles on the original. Do you need more?

If you want to feel like you are riding a bigger bike .... Why not buy a bigger bike .... One that looks like it's been made in proportion? Nothing wrong with mods, but I can't see that looking .... Right - IMHO

Remove the airfilter box for something more cut down

Turn the tank over and expand underneath to avoid looking stupid, easy for any welder etc

He wants it to look bigger and stupid. If it looks really stupid, he doesn't so much, or so he thinks.

if its a FX / FY model, then overlooking the pretty unique shape of the tank for the side scoops, you have a fuel sender inside it which may be a problem to match

its just a load of hassle for bugger all benefit.

leave well alone IMO. Honda kinda knew what they were doing in the first place, and unlike the VTR most CBR owners are happy with the 150 mile+ range from a tank

Beginning to sound like Smudger, Ha. dont think you have any option with the tank but to leave it as it is! and how long are your legs. would think all Cbr's standard seat height, sounds like you need an Adventure type bike!

nah mike just wanted a bigger over all tank not so much for the petrol carrying capacity but for that wrap around feel.dont really want/need a ltr bike as the cbr stays with most and leaves the rest and does all i want it too except for feeling a bit small under me.i have to lift of the seat during corner transition which unsettles the bike .
