just wondering if an engine running a single carb would benefit from running twin carbs? the engine in question Honda CD175 only has a single inlet port anyway but i have friends in russia who convert bikes from 2 carbs to 1 and i know my dad did his eld GL1000 from 4 to 1 so i pose the question, is it pointless? below is a twin to single convertor (flip this right? that'd work surely) on this little twin cylinder engine; basically would like to replicate a CR93 engine but they are rarer than rare. Thinking it may just be pointless (its my best friends first bike i have the honour of building up for him while he takes his test etc)
want an engine matching the performance of this beast ideally: http://rmdmotors.com/1963-honda-cr93/ and just spotted this on flea bay, looking at tech specs for fitting on a 175 bottom end then slight machining of the bottom end to add a 5th gear from a cb175, oh the trouble i go through haha http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-CB1...pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts_13&hash=item3a8e7247fc
Guzzi have just gone to single throttle body on their latest small blocks to create a steady air flow. Kept dual injectors though. More power and fuel efficient than may Breva I understand.
