can it be welded??????

    i've snapped one of the stems on my headlight/windscreen bracket, on the gixxer, does anyone know what type of metal it is and can it be welded back together?? don't fancy having to fork out for yet another part

    Do it Blue Peter style, use a bit of PVA glue... job done :plus:

    On the serious side, if you don't know what type of metal it is take it to a fabricators. Probably only cost a few quid... or try welding it yourself :p

    try a magnet on it mate......if it sticks i can weld it for ya, if it dont .........i can ally weld it bt it will be like dog shit lol got no gas for ally :thumbsup:

    the frame for the clock bracket can be welded mate with no problems lad work part time as a welder doing fabrication for gates lol yallbe fine it should be made of steel lad

    just got it welded this morning, only cost £15 and he sprayed the area black for me, couldn't argue with that

    Ha i should post the pic of the headlight mounting frame on the other hyo i just bought.
    Talk about slightly twisted haha i just bought a new one to be on the safe side :)
