Re: Camping! 26th - 28th September! Will be leaving Friday night some point, don't want a campsite too far away as night falls quick now and nothing worse than pitching in the dark. The Clithroe campsite Nick mentioned has a lot of facilities and a swimming pool I believe which would be great for kids. I'm away this weekend so hopefully he'l post a link to their website so you can have a look.
Re: Camping! 26th - 28th September! I'll deffo see if i can get there!...im thinking bike rather than car
Re: Camping! 26th - 28th September! Its called three rivers park location: Leave the M6 at Junction 31, take the A59 towards Clitheroe. After approximately 15 miles turn off at the signpost Clitheroe North (B6478). The park is approximately two miles and is well signposted to Eaves Hall Lane. The park is half a mile on the right. little about the place: There is something for the whole family within Three Rivers Woodland Resort. Young and old can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and facilities within this family owned park. Set in forty-three acres of woodland park within the Ribble Valley, the park includes a purpose built all weather complex with heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi, games room, function room, children's safe-play area, pool side patio, snack bar and fully licensed bars. The bars serve the ballroom, snooker room and pool side patio bar. A well stocked shop is also on the park. Horse Riding, Clitheroe Golf club and Fishing are all within easy reach. Fishing the Pine Lakes and Stocks Water near Slaidburn is a particular attraction. The magnificent local scenery is ideal for ramblers either along the river or over the moors. 'Half in fairyland, half in Lancashire' is the setting of this forty-three acre country park, overlooking Pendle Hill, and at the gateway to the beautiful Trough of Bowland and the Yorkshire Dales. An area of outstanding natural beauty, with magnificent scenic views, unspoilt villages, forests and tumbling streams, can be enjoyed to the full. All the atmosphere of the English Lakes without the traffic jams!
