as per title.... buxton food spot for a kebab / pizza / burger. nice roads. through cat n fidle, into buxton town then back through long hill, pott shrigley, thru macc, kuntsford etc. meet at 6 warrington maccies, lymm services (m6 j20) at 6.30-7, back by 10 - 10.30ish, about 80-100 mile. YOU WILL NEED A CLEAR VISOR!!! all are welcome but pls remember this is a run not a crawl if you get stuck follow signs to buxton. simples .
mate its on fkin fire. not ridiculous fast, you cant go fast on these roads.... but they are demanding as you know. can be very enjoyable or very dangerous if you arent confident. not trying to put ppl off, just saying. and i wont be waiting for ppl to catch up, only at junctions where the route changes from the road we're on. is an excellent run this. and top food as well
See...............just the title of this puts me off (No Slowies).............Im not slow by all means................but whats fucking fast? and whats fucking slow
i mean like no holding up cyclists slow. and no slipstreaming roadsweepers slow. as long as we're actually moving im happy. c&f is 50 limit. some bends are 25mph. wont be going over 50 on the averaged straights. buxton stop is 5 mile from c&f, town roads. then through long hill which is 3 mile out of buxton on town roads. seriously if anyone here can speed over long hill i will bare my starfish on youtube cos that is a very demanding road. and pott shrigley even more so. the only quick bit is between lymm services and knutsford, then maybe a blast thru walker barn before the cameras on the fiddle.
moz im still waiting for you to sort a ride thru knowsley safari park - on the bikes that would sort out the slowies.
moving = rear wheel rotated by engine power, not by the draught caused by passing ramblers moz im not sure this ride is for you mate cos lately i think youve descended into pink category. since shitting yourself passing a plod at ahermph lol!
you fuckin nobber, yes your right i like a spireted ride but id like to keep my ticket to ride thanks
Martin I think we could categorise this as an amber with red corners and a definite need to overtake Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
yes there will be overtaking involved as there will still be the dregs of the evening commuters coming home from work. doesnt have to be insanely fast ride - as ive stated these are not roads to go fast on. as in you cant really cos you come out of one bend and theres another then another then another, and all the straights have cameras - not like theres any point in straight line speed anyway!
Might see you there, enjoyed the kebab and the run home last time. I'll make my own way there though, unless I see you on long hill. http://goo.gl/maps/rwKQw
Haha! It didn't help that I'd never been on it before so had no clue what the bends were like. Gonna do it in daylight this time on my way to Buxton...
