The bike is a 1980 r65 bought off ebay in the winter but hopefully ready to ride this winter around the Wirral and hopefully get it to Spain next summer.
Hi,I have got a 1978 r 80 which I am doing as a cafe racer or bobber not sure what to do yet but hopefully this winter it will get done.yours is looking good.
Cheers daz there is loads of inspiration on the bike shed web site I want to do wheels and waves next year but hoping to go to the distinguished gentlemans ride this month
Love the idea, will look similar to the New Moto Guzzi Scramblers on sale. I do love this BMW R100 as a cafe racer. Hope yours comes out as good
I originally wanted an xs650 as they look similar to triumph but not as expensive to buy but you cannot get a decent donor bike so went for the bmw I have a modern K1300r so wanted something old school to ride the back lanes and have some fun on the R65 and R45 have a smaller frame and different stroke length than the bigger bikes that make them a bit different
Your B-Em looks boss - a really nice job and must be satisfying as its all your own work - there seem to be a lot of gimps these days, ready to shell out presidential fundraiser style ticket prices, trying to look cool on someone elses retro shed builds or premium Jap / Italian showroom purchases - meanwhile its all genuinely happening for real in a quiet garage somewhere - nice one !!!
I really love the look of your bm.i am having loads of trouble with mine but will get there one day or even better I could buy yours and sell mine,,,,,
