Hi guys, looking at going on a ride either Saturday or Sunday. This is a big one and will need to set off early doors

if anyone would like to go but has commitments on one of the days im free both days so can be flexible. would ideally be looking to set off from St Helens around 8-8.30am, gonna stop at the Rhug farm shop for a coffee then all other stops will be made when necessary. Not many good days left weather wise so thought id make the most of this one, not really done many big rides this year..

Just a little story. on the way home from Newtown a483 i think. Making a very good pace, when out of the blue comes a headlight in the rear mirror. Seconds later he overtakes me and kel, now considering we are getting a move on, he flew past us at a very fast pace, looked like it was a Ducati, red in colour not sure of the model. We followed for the next mile or so, but he was going round the corners like a bat out of hell, consequently we decided not to follow at his pace for safety reasons. We stopped at the next nice pub for a well earned drink and some food. After 25 minutes we set off ,after another ten minutes of riding we came to a long series of sweeping bends, further down the road, in the distance, we spot a paramedic and a ambulance , which slowed us down., and low and behold, there lies the very same bike smashed to fook and a very long gouge in the tarmac. he must of been in the ambulance being treated as we passed. When i come to think about this poor chaps accident, I realise, that he must have been on the deck for a good while before anyone came to help or call for help. Hope he was ok. So guys be very careful when riding alone in the middle of nowhere.

...sounds like your riding was the difference between a nice day out, lunch, conversation, really enjoying the scenery and the other chaps cheap thrills, £10k worth of bike damage, no more biking for a bit, lots of pain, 000's in public services costs and a trip to the hossy ! I know what I'd prefer !!!
