Hi Del might be a idea to list your location, aproximate siize and if it's metal or wood you prefere
    also have a look on
    facebook free ads
    Gumtree
    Preloved
    Ebay
when you go looking make sure you check out the base a lot of shed's are sited on soil, have you got transport and the means to dismantle and remove
sometimes its worth saving up a little and buying a new one delivered and erected in the price

How much you looking at spending del? I've trawled the net over the last few weeks looking for one for the mate. I may be able to point you in a direction at least.

Are you wanting one for security, weather protection, one big enough to work in, or all three?

You may laugh initially, but plastic sheds are fantastic. No they're not very secure, but nor is a wooden one, but they are water tight (and will remain so), and totally maintenance free.

The point about the base is important, I got a small 6x4 plastic shed to store gardening bits / paint / clutter etc in, and the base was quite flimsy, so went to local wood merchant and got a thick outside treated board cut to almost exact diameters of the shed, and laid it down as a floor. It's honestly a fantastic thing - though you'd want a bigger one obviously for a bike

Thought I'd mention it as I hadn't even considered them when I first started looking for a shed

I saw this one in wickes the other week... Much bigger than mine, a different colour, and more expensive... But it was a nice thing, and you won't have to paint it / replace rotting parts in a few years

I just waited until the one I wanted was on offer

If you can get a 6X8 brick garage for less than 600 quid order two and I'll have one, lol

I was only showing that as an example, you might find one second hand?

Tesco direct I got a double doored shed for £200 fits either 2 bikes in or 1 bike and a load of shelving units took about 3 hours with 2 of us to put it up
Only improvement I've made is reinforced the floor with some wood we get delivered at work on the pallets

for insurance purposes only brick built will be classed as garage and can save you a fair bit.. I'm building one but if your not arsed about security tje plastic ones your best bet.. I'm sick of finding the little tacks on the floor that hold the roof felt on

Had you told the insurers shed in the first instance though not sure they would have let it pass as a garage.. I'm going off what bennets told me on the phone. Garage = permanent structure or the metal containers type only

Mce were quite happy about it also you can have as many mods you want and it doesn't increase your insurance but they do tell you you will only get oem replacements

Each company have their own rules on everything, it's a pain in the ass. Just check to be safe

Obviously it's better in a 'wooden garage' than nothing, but would be interesting to see if they have more discount for brick one? And as above it very much depends on the insurance company

Ive got a 16ft x 9ft 6" concrete prefab garage, but am thinking of building a new one. so am thinking of selling this one.
Its got a few cracked panels but still solid and can be made smaller, it has a double skin steel roof, with foam in between.
don't know if this needs to go on the items for sale or not.

Long term im going to try and knock one up out of breezeblock and render the outside so it looks smart! (block saves alot on bricks!)
