Well I bit the bullet & bought my scooter its a 2000 model Peugeot Speedfight 50cc & its a non runner, top end seize.
nice one daz, doesnt look that bad tbh. looking forward to making you blow it up trying to catch mine! will follow on with mods on mine once the bits start arriving, some of its coming from china, japan & usa so it'll be a true mongrel when it's finished

OK the bike is stripped, the painter has all the plastics ( Orange Urban Camo :yahoo: ), the wheels, exhaust & drive gear cover are with the powder coaters getting blasted then done nicely in black. I will be ordering a high speed crank, new race piston kit & 70cc barrel, high speed variater kit & lastly the gear up kit for the gear box. All in should do about 65mph & get there fairly quick
Ok so the plastics are still with Daves mate but are coming on nicely. Ive stripped the frame & found that the CDI has been changed for a HPI version giving me free revs & a better power curve. http://www.hpi.be/new.htm The engine is out an Ive split it & what a bonus it has a full circle race crank that looks brand new along with new bearings & seals so Im very happy. Like Martin I have a 70cc barrell on order alomng with a 21mm carb kit, so should expect around 15hp by the time ive finished. Tonight I have a bottle of single malt & my polishing equipment & I am doing all the intake ports in the crank cases taking all the spurs away making sure the surfaces are mirror in finish ensuring free flowing fuel & oil.
