Well I've managed to wring every last bit of life out of my SV650's battery and its time to change. I've head Yusa are the one to go for, but are cheaper batteries dramatically worse? What sort of money should I be paying? Wemoto have the YTX12-BS listed at £45 and change but I know they are never the cheapest.

So what recommendations do we have?

    Personally I like yuasa.

Ok Chaps thanks for the input, will probably take a look for an exide come the weekend. It lives attached to a CTEK battery optimiser at all times when at home so if they are ok but not the best that ought to do me.

I have a Honda and just went for the oem after shopping on price, which is a Yuasa - I've had two bikes where the batteries have lasted 5 years ( kept the bike on trickle charge when not in use but it is stored in a Secure dry shed) - in fact I bought the current one when I thought there might be a prob ( there wasn't) and haven't fitted it yet - original battery is now on year 6 - just on that count they seem pukka ! Mileage on both bikes was 16k ( old and at present )

Ordered a Yusa off amazon in the end, £35 arriving on Friday. So not the cheapest but not that bad, an probably the best reliability by the sounds of things
