no, don't be silly, i haven't found a problem i can't solve just got a new (to me) racefit growler for the blade.... reputed to be the loudest can going! so rather than deafen myself i decided to fab a baffle while i had some spare time have a look what ive got lying around.... mhh shiny metal... mhh perforated tube, left over from some stubbies i made... i like the end bit on this...cos it looks like my smiley carb pic that will do for the inside.... put it together and what have you got.... the standard (massive!) open end of the can baffled still got to press the smiley bit on the end - i'll do that tomorrow when i can get in the workshop - need a hydraulic press to push it on. fits perfect & is nice & easy to remove for when i feel like being antisocial... a gen racefit db killer is £37.50 + vat + post should still sound nice but keep plod off my back!
finito pressed the end on and tidied up the weld (blob welded it yesterday but had acces to a mig today.... decided the square smiley bit was too restrictive so i bored it out a bit and concaved it for better flow - the rest of the gasses pass through the perforated tube.... idea is not so much to restrict the flow as deflect the sound wave. oil blacked it as well - looks sound fitted in the can
I wasnt goner bother with cans etc cos i quite like the oem one, plus i said i wasnt spending awt on it til my claim comes in, but this was a bargain
I suspect anyone who's ever heard Martin coming has probably alikened it to the sound of a horny wookie getting to his vinegar strokes whilst pinning down an unwilling ewok... No amount of therapy will scrub that sound from your mind...
fitted it tonight.... jeez couldn't believe the weight of the oem exhaust! it weighs about 10gk! was a bit of a basterd getting the cover panel to line up tho... couldn't wait to fire it up - neighbours in bed OMFG!! it's noisy as fook! and thats with the baffle in! very happy with it - thx mark best get saving up for fines eh!

Hahaha, glad its ok mate.......fired it up while the neighbours were in bed :roflmao: fuckin ace! Yeh I couldn't believe the weight of the standard one either, difference is unbelievable.
