Although it is still early in the season I have to keep getting the tent out.

Heading to Applecross early on Sat 15th March.

    Returning Sunday 16th afternoon time.

    Camping at Applecross.

Not for the faint hearted. Lot of miles and pass of the cattle.

    All welcome.

Not that I will join you but, having read a former post of yours, just wondering what you'll be riding up there?

Surely that's a joke , Apple cross pass might not even be open ! To camp up there in what could be minus 5 and below is ludicrous ! As much as I love adventures , this would not be on my list . The area is superb but only in mid summer for me .
And to leave apple cross Sunday lunch ? For a ride home ?? Make sure you book Monday off work at least !

Nice idea , but not a sensible one in my opinion .........wait till after may

I am sure I will survive.

I appreciate the more extreme mileage and conditions are not everyone's cup of tea, but personally I love it as much in winter as in summer.

Have been there in Feb in the past. It's not too terrible and there is an alternative to the pass if snow is still on the tarmac.

    I was expecting something like a C70.

I am actually quite jealous of you. I wish I was this eccentric. Enjoy. Can be really nice up there in March.

    Haha.

It's not that eccentric to be fair. Depends what you see the bike as enabling in life. For some it's a sunny day play thing, some a track weapon, others a necessity for commuting.

From what I infer you are a thinking rider and enjoy learning and up skilling. I am similar, I love to get 'better' at stuff, which involves training and practice. I also love adventure. Combine the two and there we have it :)

I genuinely do not see this as mad.

I have spent a lot of time and money on getting the right gear over the years which helps I guess - but this is normal activity. (I am 35 btw)

That wasn't a jibe or piss take. If you read back at what this guy has done and is planning, you'll realise. ;)

Yep on bikes. The link is about the road to Davos which Top Gear went to searching for the greatest driving road in the world. We will also be riding that road.

Bikes going so far are a CBR600F, 2 X VFR 800, GS1200, GSX600F. The hotels are booked but we can add more rooms as required.
