I used to use a company in horwich but since I have got my new one I think the credit crunch hit them and they are no longer in buisness, anyone use bolton motorcycles or can anyone recommend someone or a company in the bolton area? Thanks
Not sure about Bolton motorcycles have heard some scary stories about them. This makes an interesting read. http://www.lancsbiker.co.uk/product-retailer-reviews/handlebars-mis-aligned-with-front-wheel/
I don't think I would buy a bike off them, purely on the fact I rang up about a cbr 600 rr a few weeks back, was really looking forward to going test riding it, was assured by the man on the phone it's a "cracking bike, never dropped or crashed." I think you guys probably know what I am going to say, it had been crashed, everything had been repaired to the highest of standards, looked almost new, except the engine casing was scuffed underneath, glad I chose to fully inspect before test riding. The dealer then chose to play the " we never saw that" card. However now I won't be using them for any servicing as I can see if I ever had a problem after a service, I don't think they would be interested
Have you looked at ESB, bought two bikes off them had good customer service and their work was always spot on.
No, I used to go in too have a look but that was a long time ago, want to try and keep to somewhere like esb or another dealer
Just avoid B&C. There is one up rivi way that is supposed to be quite reputable, Bolton Motorcycle Workshop or summat like that or if it's still there?? Never used it myself. ESB charge the earth like they do with everything and I wouldn't even bother with Bolton Motorcycles service dept. Use JT Motorcycles in Darwen myself. Sound fella and very clued up, I'm there on Saturday actually for a dyno run.
Ok thanks for the advice, I'll have a look around, jts motorcycles or scorpion motorcycles, I used to use v twin motorcycles in horwich but doesn't seem to be there anymore
Scorpion is pretty good althou hes not an auto electrician so if its electronics your best elsewhere. can find him if you head from little lever to radcliffe on an industrial estate (can see sign for Motorcycle MOT on the corner just after Tesco's... hes also pretty cheap but does a good job when ive used him in the past
Ive used bolton motorcycle workshop up in belmont. Very good. Picked my bike up from wigan in the van for nothing. Happily recommend him.
Just looking at their website now, looks very professional and straight forward, may go and have a look on Saturday, thanks guys
Hi Tom I have used Russ at Bolton Motorcycle Workshop and have nothing but good things to say about them. Used them for over 3 years now and he's a good guy, give them a go mate.
I've never used bolton motorcycles, there is a link further up too an article of a guy who had problems there, maybe a one off but don't want to risk it
