Just thought I'd share this in case it's of use to anyone...

We've been looking around for a tablet for a while, but they're either too expensive (not sure we'd use it enough to justify), or a bit shit... didn't wanna spend a fortune but also didn't want to buy something too cheap that's crap

Long story short, we borrowed a mates Samsung 7" tablet for a few weeks, and the mrs does like using it, and after a bit more hunting around found the Lenovo A8-50

I believe the RRP was around £130, and even at that it got good reviews... You can currently get it from Amazon for 99 with a 50 Lenovo voucher by redemption (you can only claim it back a month after you bought the tablet, and to my knowledge it's only usable in the Lenovo store, so it's not really worth 50 to me but it's an option) but it's currently 79.99 from Tesco (no redemption offers or anything) which is what I went with

It's a decent enough thing, 1.3 Ghz Quad Core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8" screen, 1280x800 resolution, and crucially not too much bloatware (my bugbear with some devices, especially Samsung)

We've only had it for a few days so can't how the battery will last long term etc, but Lenovo are a massive company as a major laptop manufacturer, and I think they also own Motorola now... it's massively more responsive than the Samsung we borrowed, and the build quality seems nice.

I also bought a case and screen covers (not Lenovo branded, but are made for this specific tablet and fit well) so I've included details of those below as well

Obviously don't know how long this offer will be on for

Tablet (free click and collect, not available to just buy from store I don't think)
