    Hi

Got a 2005 mito, brake light aint coming on while using lever but does while using rear brake.

Also, the guy before me fitted naff aftermarket front indicators and now the bulb has gone in the front right im struggling to get a replacement and getting my fingers in there to get the old one out!

Ive pulled it out with needle nose but im just gonna get two original indicators fitted, my question is - while the front bulb has gone, the rear right indicator wont flash when turning, it just stays on constant while im indicating - is this because the front one is busted or not?

    Cheers

For the front brake, there is a connector (2-4pin) that will plug into the actual brake clamp. If you have a multi-meter you can test for power on the (brown or black) wire (should read anywhere from 2-12volts as im unsure of the power for that connector)

As long as it is getting power, it may not be getting a good contact when the brake is pulled. You can take the brake off mount off without having to remove the brake lines or piss around bleeding the brakes.

It should be held on by 2 allen bolts or 2 pinch bolts on the clip-on. release these and attempt to turn the unit upside down to check the wiring underneath. Check it over, coat in WD40 if needed :)

Beyond that, it will be finding a bad earth someone on the frame (which i very much doubt)

As for the front indicators, just take out the bulb and take it to a auto shop like halfrauds and get a replacement!

Well in tom for the usual quality on reply.

Yeah it will be because there is a break in the curcuit.

I see ur from warrington? There is a couple of motorfactors in bolton that seem to stock any type of bulb ive ever presented them - You might want to find some in warrington. If not take a pic of the bulb and give details and i'll see if i can find one.

If u can mate, try and take a pic of the bulb out of the indicator so we can see the connection type - or take a pic of the old, crumbled, bulb aslong as we can still see the connections. Sure one of us will be able to find a replacement one for you ;)
