Hi is anyone heading to southport wednesday night cos i dont no where to go cheers

 

i dont tihnk i am hughesy I'm putting and sorting my bike together to put it for sale some round this weekend or next. Cant use it much either due to the mileage lol 18,945 miles :lol:

were meetin at the carousel in southport at 7pm as usual

 

I'll be be out if get bike back from its service and they have found where its loseing water from in time.

 

o dear, case of the R6-R1 coolant seals blowing off at 120mph...

lol, a fella at work has an r6 that had to have the whole top of the engine replaced due to it.

started life as a tiny leak of coolant.

 

yeap thats all its doing at the moment. Well it has but hasn't seem to have lost any since topped it up. I'm keeping a close eye on it. As going scotland for a week on it may and needs sorting before then!

 

is this on your new r1

 

get your local garage to check the seal and clamp on the main header for the coolant pipe, its basically dead center near the base of the engine (near the oil filter)

just get it checked and if need be, replaced

just a heads up, it may not be the issue! but its a good place to start, because if that goes! I see a "warped the head on my R1" thread

 

No not really but i can find it is it near the lake i be on the vfr mate got your mobile anyway
